Micromagnitudes marks my first sustained effort to record a collection of music, of my own, by my own means. It is something I have wanted to do for a many years; something more put together than a cassette recording off the floor of possibly salvageable riffs. It took several steps; predominantly a boss loop station, to make me feel ready to take this on. It is recorded entirely on a Zoom H4N using its multi-track function, with a generous head-start in most tracks from the boss loop-station. Guitar being my main instrument(strictly electric here) I fleshed the tracks out with what I had on hand: bass guitar, an old upright piano, accordion, my voice, drums, percussion, and the household parrot who put in his two cents, several times. It's still somewhat random; taken from various sessions of creation. I hope the sound is deep and rich enough in itself for ones imagination to run wild. For me that is what usually gets me first, the feel and sound of music.
